Creating A Folder Record in VT-VTD-DSM

  1. Select the appropriate filing cabinet (jobs, customers, digital resources, etc.) from the File Cabinet popup in the upper left corner of the Browser window. The file cabinets listed correspond to the folder types to which you have access and that have been defined by the system administrator.
  2. Click New:[VTDUG:Folder Type Name]:[VTDUG:Form Name]/[VTDUG:Template Name] to select the form or template you want to use in creating the new record. A Properties dialog window will appear, allowing you to enter an initial amount of information.
  3. Enter the appropriate property information and click OK. Property information varies based on the type of the folder record being added.
    Note: If the folder type has been serialized by the system administrator, the word “auto” will appear in the folder type ID field. To let Virtual Ticket Developer assign the next available ID number, simply leave this field with the “auto” value. The ID number will be assigned to the record when it is added to the database.
  4. In the Browser window, enter the remaining information for the folder record that you want to create and click ADD. The amount and type of information needed will depend on what fields are included on the form you are using.
